The EU

Trump on Israel

TRIGGER WARNING:  Islamaphobia Ahead.
For John, BLUFReading between the lines with Mr Trump.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

Well, actually, that is the sign at the beginning of Mr Roger L Simon's article in Pajamas Media, "Trump, Israel, and Islam".

The points of the article include:

  1. Mr Trump is not anti-Israel.
  2. Mr Trump realizes how hard a negotiation it would be to end the problems between Israel and Palestine.
  3. Mr Trump recognizes that (as Egyptian President al-Sisi has said, "Islam has a problem in its very principles that must be seriously reformed").
I would say that in those three bullets Mr Trump is described as realistic, aware of what can and can't be done in Foreign Policy and without the blinders of political correctness that is hindering our relationships in the Middle East (and at home).

I don't know which other candidate has a better position on these issues.

Hat tip to the InstaPundit.
