The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Dating Scene in Australia

For John, BLUFThat dating scene out there is scary.  Glad I got married back in the 1960s.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

It is a new year and thus new things are happening.  If it wasn't The Old Gray Lady I wouldn't believe it, but here it is—"Famous cricketer fined $10K after asking reporter out on a date during live interview".

Well, it is Australia, where, apparently, Crocodile Dundee has been replaced by a softer sort of man.

Maybe it is related to this para from Wikipedia:

Although the film was a hit both in Australia and abroad, it became controversial with some Australian critics and audiences–who resented the image of Australian people as being "redneck" (or "ocker").
Maybe men shouldn't ask women out on dates, at least not where others can overhear the offer.

Hat tip to the NSFW Political Cartoon Day by Day.
