Caesar's Wife and All That

For John, BLUFThe Senate Majority leader is an embarrassment, more than either of our Senators, or both of them together.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

When one is sliming the other side, it is important to keep one's own skirts clean, to be as Pure as Caesar's Wife.

However, there is the Dingy Harry Exception.

Hat tip to the Instapundit, who is tracking Senator Reid's protected, yet scurrilous, attacks on the Koch Brothers and his strange path from poverty to millions.

A $500 campaign contribution? Seriously? We're making "benefited from Koch money" out of $500?

I'm not saying the rest isn't as dirty as dirty is, but, really, some sense of scale ought to be appropriate.

Yes, if you are as strident as Senator Reid you need to be clean.  I would say give a pass to Sen Warren or Sen Markey.  While partisan, they have not been as strident as Senator Reid.  He has placed himself in a special category.

But, that is just me.  Your mileage may well vary.

Ok, but "need to be clean", and suggesting Reid is somehow "sponsored" by Koch are two completely different things. The Author of the Free Beacon piece doesn't seem to be able to discern the difference.
