Conclave Update

For John, BLUFThe Cardinal is giving us the "silent treatment".

The Conclave begins on Tuesday of this coming week.  How long it will take to select a new Pope is all just speculation.  In the mean time, here is Seán Cardinal O'Malley's Blog"

On Wednesday March 6th, the Cardinals agreed to enter a period of public silence about their discussions in their General Congregation meetings to prepare for the upcoming conclave. Therefore Cardinal Seán is unable to Blog this week. Cardinal Sean’s staff has asked Scot Landry, secretary for Catholic media at the Archdiocese of Boston and host of The Good Catholic Life daily radio program, to write a guest post.

Scot is currently in Rome to cover these events for various Archdiocesan media organizations. To read Scot’s post, please click HERE.

There you have it.  Silence—sacred silence.

Meanwhile, at Paddy Power, here is how the crowd sourcing is going:

Archbishop Angelo Scola (Italy) 5/2
Cardinal Peter Turkson (Ghana) 7/2
Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone (Italy) 5/1
Cardinal Odilo Scherer (Brazil) 8/1
Cardinal Christoph Schonborn (Austria) 12/1
...
Cardinal Sean O'Malley (United States) 33/1
