The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

NYT Says Egypt Muslim Brotherhood OK

For John, BLUFReporter tells us Muslim Brotherhood just like your local Democratic Party machine.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

From yesterday's edition of the Dailt Caller we have an article that suggests New York Times Foreign Correspondent David K. Kirkpatrick is a late entry bucking for the 2012 Walter Duranty Prize.

The New York Times Cairo bureau chief David K. Kirkpatrick insists that the Muslim Brotherhood is a “moderate, regular old political force,” despite Muslim Brotherhood-backed Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi’s recent power grab and the Islamist organization’s radical views.
Reporter Kirkpatrick could turn out to be correct, for a while.  People thought, for a while, that Benito Mussolini was doing a good job running Italy.

UPDATE:  Columist David Ignatius had a relevant item in yesterday's Washington Post, with this lede:

How did Washington become the best friend of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, even as President Mohamed Morsi was asserting dictatorial powers and his followers were beating up secular liberals in the streets of Cairo?  It’s a question many Arabs ask these days, and it deserves an answer.
